Our
Case Studies
Highgrove Gardens. Coronation Pavilion
In 2023 we were honored to supply the joinery for the new Coronation Pavilion project at Highgrove gardens, working with Hoare Ridge and Morris Architects and Haines Construction.
Our part of the project included twelve beautiful, handmade, green English oak columns for the veranda, three gunstock door sets, three individual windows with intricate, hand scribed, glazing bar details, and 150m of machined oak fascia.
The project was delivered to a quick timescale ready for the summer open gardens.
The sale of products sold in the shop, along with garden tours and events, support the work of The Prince’s Foundation.
Gloucester Cathedral . Lady Chapel Liturgical Furniture
St Ann’s Gate Architects approached us in 2020 to enter the selection process for building the liturgical furniture of the Gloucester Cathedral’s Lady Chapel.
After inspecting our portfolio of work, visiting our workshops and interviews by the Cathedral’s committee, Chiselworks were thrilled to receive the commission.
We sourced all the Oak from the local area and used Cirencester Steel Fabrication for the metal components.
Mead House
Our current ongoing project, a Grade II* listed restoration including: two kitchens, a breakfast room, two utility rooms, a laundry room, dressing rooms, a library. It also includes other architectural joinery such as screens, shutters and bespoke mouldings. Designed by Andrew Stone Architects.
